0101-014-001 - Fast Automated Micro Distillation Analyzer

Successor of the PMD 110, the OptiPMD is the go-to lab solution for fast and reliable response distillation according to ASTM D7345 standard test method.

Based on the micro-distillation method, the OptiPMD determines in less than 10min, using only 10ml of sample, the boiling range of various petroleum products, light/middle distillates in perfect correlation with ASTM D86 and biodiesels B100 to ASTM D1160.

The compact and portable analyzer is ideal for on-site and mobile lab applications, where standard laboratory instrumentation cannot be applied. It’s ideal for screening at logistical points, to monitor fuel contamination, fuel blending, and many other applications.

While its predecessor already ran distillations under atmospheric pressure, the OptiPMD can now run the distillation of FAME products as well, making it an excellent alternative to the standard D1160 test methods. This delivers huge benefits, saving both costs (operation and maintenance) as operating time, with the easy test procedure.

Simply fill a flask with 10ml of test specimen, place it on the instrument and press ’start’. Thanks to an intelligent heating mode, no programming or test knowledge is required. OptipMD automatically recognizes the sample type and applies appropriate heating method and datea treatment.
Results are reported in 10 minutes or less.
